Chaitra Navratri 2020: Day and date

This year Chaitra Navratri would start from March 25, 2020 (Wednesday) and would end on April 2, 2020 (Thursday). The Ashtami falls on April 1, 2020, while Ram Navami would be celebrated on April 2, 2020.

In Ambaji, there are Four Navratri Festivals, namely, Sharad (in Ashwin Month), Vasantik ( in Chaitra) Maha & Ashadh, ritually celebrated as per the Shakti Sampraday Traditions. The ritual worships of Ambaji is usually performed with Sat Chandi Yagna and other worships, in Yagnashala of the Chachar Chowk, which is decorated and illuminated with colorful lightings from all corners, during these period of Navratri . The devotees also enjoy Devi Darshan, Ohm Havan and Traditional Garba Dances

Ambaji is an important temple town with millions of devotees visiting the Ambaji temple every year. It is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. Ambaji Mata temple is a major Shakti Peeth of India. It is situated at a distance of approximately 65 kilometres from Palanpur, 45 kilometres from Mount Abu, and 20 kilometres from Abu Road, and 185 kilometres from Ahmedabad, 50 kilometers from Kadiyadra near the Gujarat and Rajasthan border.

In the holy temple of "Arasuri Ambaji", there is no image or statue of goddess the holy "Shree Visa Yantra" is worshiped as the main deity. No one can see the Yantra with naked eye. The photography of the Yantra is prohibited.

The Arasuri Ambe Mata or Arbuda Mataji is kuldevi of Barad Parmaras. The one Parmar state is located near the ambaji town I.e.Danta and which also serves as capital of whole parmar clan.

The original seat of Ambaji Mata is on Gabbar hilltop in the town. A large number of devotees visit the temple every year especially on Purnima days. A large mela on Bhadarvi poornima (full moon day) is held.

Every Year from all over the country people come here walking all over from their native place just to worship MAA AMBE in September. The whole Ambaji town is lit up as the nation celebrates the festive time of Diwali.

Legend has it that the Hindu god Lord Shiva had allowed his wife Parvati to visit her parents for nine days around this time. Hindu scriptures also say that the period of Chaitra is when Goddess Durga had killed the buffalo-headed demon Mahisasura.

The nine nights of celebrating Shakti, thus came to be known as nava (nine) ratri (nights) or Navratri.

The nine-night long festival falls four times in a year. Even though Sharada Navrarti (September-October) is the one which is celebrated with the most pomp and grandeur, Chaitra Navrarti, which falls between March and April, too is observed in many parts of the country.

The other Navratris celebrated in India are the Magha Navratri and the Ashada Navratri.

Gujarat: All Teacher to donate one day's salary to CM relief fund for fight against coronavirus

Corona virus is slowly taking over Gujarat. So far, a total of 39 positive cases have been registered and one has been killed. As a result, financial support is being provided by employees and politicians from different fields. Today, 68 Congress MLAs have announced a grant of Rs 10 lakh per MLA.

To fight the coronary epidemic, 68 lawmakers of Congress have urged the government to expedite the allocation of Rs 10 lakh for the necessary equipment, medical kit and resources for the immediate management and action of the system.

Government of Gujarat provides food items free of cost to G1 lakh poor families

Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said on Wednesday that the Gujarat government will launch food items like wheat, rice, pulses and sugar free of cost to families with April 1 lakh ration cards from April 1.

The plan is to ensure that the poor, dependent on everyday employment, are not affected by the 21-day lockdown in the country due to outbreak of coronavirus and do not have to buy food items in April, he said. Meeting in Gandhinagar.

This process-centred approach could, for instance, offer the children experiments and investigations as starting points for acquiring conceptual knowledge with little or no direct teaching of concepts. In this case a conceptual structure is withheld. The onus is on the children to recall or construct a functional mental representation without reference to a teachers' description of one. Pupils might infer relationships in the topic under study and may be given an opportunity to test and revise their ideas.

Of course, other teachers might focus on a combination of these two approaches and develop scientific skills and conceptual understanding from in this combination. This mixed approach could be a balance or, perhaps, a compromise, between a product-centred and a process-centred approach, in which the teacher provides a partial conceptual structure and leaves the remainder for children to construct by inferring, hypothesising, or testing their ideas. It could encourage lessons where children do investigations with some features already identified by the teacher, and with some conceptual knowledge about the subject that enables them to appreciate the purpose of the activity. In contrast, it could encourage lessons without a clear purpose which mixed different types of activity, but did not develop either conceptual or procedure understanding exclusively.

The updation of NPR was also proposed to be done along with the Phase I of Census 2021 in all the States/UTs, except Assam.

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, high alert has been declared by the Government of India as well as the States/Union Territories. The Ministry of Home Affairs vide order dated 24th March, 2020 has issued Guidelines with the directions for their strict implementation, on the measures to be taken by the Ministries/Departments of Government of India and State/Union Territory Governments for containment of COVID-19 Epidemic in the country. Lockdown has also been declared by many State/UT governments. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India has issued advisories for various precautionary measures, including social distancing.

Keeping in view the above, the first phase of Census 2021 and updation of NPR, which was to begin on various dates decided by the State/ UT government beginning 1 April 2020 and various related field activities, are postponed until further orders.

With lockdown in around 550 districts, India is hoping to break the chain of Coronavirus spread which has infected hundreds of people so far. The total number of Coronavirus positive cases in India reached 519 on Tuesday. This includes 39 discharged people and 9 deaths, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said. Around 30 states/UTs have been placed under complete lockdown. After break on passenger trains across India, Aviation Ministry said that all domestic flights will also be grounded from Wednesday midnight. PM Narendra Modi has appealed citizens to take the lockdown seriously and said it is a lifetime challenge that the world is facing.

Delhi CM Kejriwal also announced a partial curfew in Delhi while Punjab has announced a complete curfew in the state. The number of cases in Maharashtra and Kerala have gone past 100. Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab and Andhra Pradesh have also seen a rise in cases so far.
