Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said on Wednesday that the Gujarat government will launch food items like wheat, rice, pulses and sugar free of cost to families with April 1 lakh ration cards from April 1.
The plan is to ensure that the poor, dependent on everyday employment, are not affected by the 21-day lockdown in the country due to outbreak of coronavirus and do not have to buy food items in April, he said. Meeting in Gandhinagar.
